Our farm in Santa Maddalena

A closer look

The name “Rotmoos” comes from the swamps that extended over the valley underneath until the end of the sixties.

Stable life and animals

At our holiday farmhouse we raise cows for fresh milk (dairy farm) and chickens, from which we get eggs. Even a couple of cats have comfortably settled down with us.
Depending on the season, our animals may be at the alm or, particularly in autumn, grazing the surrounding fields. Our guests can visit the stable, and if they want get the rake and have a go at harvesting some hay.

Breakfast and herb garden

Our guests can also order home-grown herbs and salad from our very own vegetable and herb garden. On request, farmhouse produce, like fresh milk, eggs and honey from the brother of the farmer, can be placed on the apartment doorsteps at 7:30 am in a breakfast hamper, together with fresh bread from the bakery. Please let us know if you have such requests at the moment of booking, or the day before.
